Founder & Certified Executive Coach

Tom Newton brings extensive leadership experience, including senior roles as Managing Director and VP of Sales & Marketing in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.

After experiencing the transformative impact of coaching firsthand, Tom founded Rhythm Leadership to help others navigate complexity, align with their values, and lead with clarity and purpose.

His approach is grounded in real-world experience — not theory. As both a seasoned executive and trained saxophonist, Tom understands the importance of rhythm, adaptability, and timing — qualities that define strong leadership. This perspective helped shape the foundation of Rhythm Leadership: a belief that great leadership is not rigid, but rooted in alignment, awareness, and curiosity.

Tom has partnered with senior leaders and executives from organizations such as Boeing, Chevron, Deutsche Bank, IBM, AT&T, Novartis, Wells Fargo, and LEGO, across industries including technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, manufacturing, distribution, and municipal government. He is also a coach and facilitator with Padraig.

His coaching creates a focused, confidential space where leaders challenge assumptions, discover their authentic values, and take meaningful, aligned action.

    Cathy is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC, ICF) with over 25 years of leadership experience in retail, financial services, I.T., automotive, and government sectors. She has held senior roles including VP of Human Resources, VP of Selling Culture, and General Manager across multiple business units. Drawing on her business expertise and passion for developing others, she helps leaders and teams identify strengths, close performance gaps, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

    Cathy is also certified in proven assessment tools, including EQ-i 2.0 + EQ 360, The Five Behaviors and Facet5.

  • Ottawa, ON

    David is a Professional Certified Coach and graduate of the Royal Roads Executive Coaching program, with over 20 years of senior leadership experience in the Government of Canada and prior roles in the private sector and international organizations, including the United Nations. He has worked across Europe, Africa, and North America, specializing in strategic policy, program management, and initiatives in environment, climate change, energy, and sustainability. David helps leaders find their authentic presence, bringing a calm, curious, and motivational approach, and is accredited in the Leadership Circle Profile and Everything DiSC.
